Kamalammas 2024
This popular festival dedicated to national cultures and cuisines is going to be a bit different this year – the highlight of the festival, the Day of National Cuisines, will not be organised this year to allow culture to take a more prominent place. ‘While previously, the festival used to last a week and was more focused on food, then in this Year of Cultural Diversity, the events of Kamalammas festival have been expanded across an entire month,’ commented Eve Alte, Director of the Rakvere Cultural Centre and a member of the festival’s organisational team. ‘We will start on 24 September, the Day of Nationalities, and will finish on 19 October, the Finno-Ugrian Day.’
