Have fun learning Estonian this summer!

The Integration Foundation is offering a range of opportunities to learn and practise Estonian this summer. They are all great ways of improving your language skills while enjoying a fun new experience.

ESTONIAN LANGUAGE CAFÉS

Language cafés provide support for independent Estonian studies and a chance to practise to those who want to speak the language – adding to their vocabulary, practising studying independently and chatting about everyday topics in a relaxed environment. Situations and topics that come up on a day-to-day basis are discussed. The cafés take place all over Estonia, including in summer, and you can sign up for them at any time.

CULTURAL STUDIES

The aim of cultural studies is to leave the participants better able to navigate their way through the traditions and cultural space of Estonia and to offer them language practice. The module consists of an introduction to culture (including nature, science, education, food and folk culture), a series of workshops and discussions and a range of excursions and get-togethers (visits to cultural institutions, music, club nights and more).

ESTONIAN LANGUAGE CLUBS

Estonian language and culture clubs are a place for people to practise their Estonian and overcome their communication issues. They are designed primarily for those who already speak some Estonian but need encouragement in order to communicate in the language spontaneously and fluently. The clubs are open to adults who have completed an Estonian language course at least at the B2 level. The clubs operate in Tallinn, Narva, Jõhvi, Kohtla-Järve and Ahtme, usually meeting once a week.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES OFFERED BY THE ESTONIAN LANGUAGE CENTRES

Fun events in a relaxed environment which are open to all language learners are organised by the Estonian Language Centres throughout summer. Participants learn and practise their Estonian on excursions and daytrips, on visits to museums and exhibitions, in workshops and at camps in Ida-Viru, Harju and Pärnu counties.
Events range in length from a few hours to a few days. Take a look at the event calendar for more details!
