Goal of the project
These activities contribute to the objective ‘Estonians are smart, active and care about their health’ – specifically the sub-objective ‘Active people’ – set out in the Riigikogu resolution ‘Approval of the Estonian Long-Term Development Strategy “Estonia 2035”2’; to the sub-objective ‘Estonia supporting adaptation and integration’ of the sectoral development plan ‘Cohesive Estonia 2021–2030’3; and to the services ‘A common, clear, and trustworthy communication and information space’, ‘Supporting an innovative and responsible labour market’, and ‘Enhancing Estonian language skills and ties to the country and cultural sphere’ of the activity ‘Development and implementation of integration policies, including adaptation policies’ of the measure ‘Estonia that supports integration, including adaptation’ of the programme ‘Integration programme, including adaptation’ of the performance area ‘Cohesive Society’.
The aim of the supported activity is the development and implementation of the data exchange solution and the ‘Settling in Estonia’ proactive government service.
As a result of the supported activity, a data exchange solution – including an information platform – is going to be developed further and implemented, and newly arrived immigrants who have settled in Estonia are going to be automatically referred to take part in the ‘Settle in Estonia’ adaptation programme. In addition, a needs-based information platform is going to be developed further for both newly arrived immigrants and the stakeholders involved in the integration programme. The ‘Settling in Estonia’ proactive government service is also going to be developed further and implemented, and newly arrived immigrants who have settled in Estonia are using this personalised and proactive service to help them adapt to life in Estonia.
