Festival Embroidery Unites
On the occasion of World Vyshyvanka Day and the Year of Cultural Diversity in Estonia, the Association of Ukrainian Organizations together with the Open-Air Museum decided to organize a sensual and unique holiday - the "Vysyvanka unites" festival! This event is designed to unite Ukrainians, Estonians and other peoples living in Estonia in the desire to preserve ancient folk traditions and culture, as well as to introduce each other to their ethnic group and national cultural heritage. That is why the slogan "Similar unites - different enriches" was chosen as the motto of the festival! The festival "Embroidery unites" will take place on May 19 on the territory of the "Open-air Museum" and will last from 12:00 to 21:00. On this day, we are preparing locations for visitors of any age and taste: a fair selling authentic goods from Ukrainian and Estonian manufacturers, many locations with master classes, a children's area, food courts with national cuisine and delicacies, a concert program with national dancing and singing, a show of embroidery, a holiday lottery - and this is only a small part of our program.
