Previous experience can be useful, but it is not required for most roles. What matters more is a willingness to learn, to follow agreed commitments and to act within the boundaries of your role.
Yes. Some roles are specifically suited to short-term or one-time participation, such as helping at events or taking part in study visits. Other roles involve more regular and long-term participation.
The time commitment depends on the role and the specific activity. Some opportunities are linked to a single event or a short period of involvement, while others require more regular participation. The exact level of commitment is agreed upon before the activities begin.
You should also take into account the time required to complete the training offered to volunteers.
Volunteering is unpaid. In return, we offer various training opportunities, meetings with other volunteers and other opportunities for personal development.
This depends on the role. The language practice supporter role requires a good command of Estonian and a willingness to support and guide conversations. For some organisational or community-based roles, an intermediate level of Estonian may be sufficient.
We will assess suitability for the role before the activities begin.
Yes. Volunteering is open to people from different backgrounds and with different life experiences. Integration is especially strengthened when volunteers bring diverse linguistic, cultural and personal experiences.
Volunteer opportunities depend on the specific programme, event and partners involved. Activities may take place throughout Estonia, and some are also organised online.
No. Completing the registration form simply indicates your interest in volunteering. We will agree on the next steps after our initial contact.
