Estonian Language Camps for Estonian Youth Abroad 2026

Laagrid

If you are a young person of Estonian origin aged 13–18 living abroad and would like to spend a week in Estonia in the middle of summer, learn Estonian, make new friends, and discover exciting places in Estonia, then the Estonian language camp for young compatriots is just for you!

We also welcome young people from Estonia with a good level of Estonian (B2+) to register. They will support the language learning and adaptation of youth from abroad during the camp.

At the camp you will have the opportunity to practice and learn Estonian, communicate with peers, take part in exciting group activities, and learn more about Estonian culture and traditions.

To register as a participant, please fill in the online registration form by April 10 2026.

Please note that registration does not automatically guarantee a place in the camp.

Confirmation of participation will be sent by email to both you and your parent no later than 14 April 2026.

If there are more applicants than available places, priority will be given to young people who:

  • live in countries further away from Estonia,
  • have not participated in the camp before (or only to a limited extent),
  • submit a well-written and thoughtful motivation letter.

Camp sessions in summer 2026

In the summer of 2026, three camp sessions will take place at Venevere Holiday Village (duration 7 nights, 8 days).

Participants are expected to register according to their level of Estonian language proficiency.

Camp dates and groups:

Session I 6 July – 13 July 2026 For young people with beginner-level Estonian

Session II 20 July – 27 July 2026 For young people with intermediate-level Estonian

Session III 3 August – 10 August 2026 For young people with advanced Estonian language skills

Participation agreement

Before the camp, an agreement will be signed with the parent or guardian of each participant. Only a signed agreement guarantees the selected participant a place in the Estonian language and culture camp.

If a place becomes available, it will be offered to the next young person on the waiting list.

The requirements and conditions for participating in the camp can be found in Appendix 1 (Estonian language).
